Snuggles is a very sweet 7 year old fawn girl. As her name says, she loves to snuggle. Her favorite position is on her back so she can have her tummy rubbed. She is very overweight; she needs to lose about 40 lbs. As she is very shy with strangers, she will need a quiet home
Snuggles has tested heart worm positive. She will kept on HeartGuard for the rest of her life. This will keep new worms from forming; the adults will die off in about 18 months. Her activity will need to be limited during this time. She gets 2 short walks around the block a day with limited running or jumping. Her weight has gone from 173 lbs down to 137 lbs and except for the heart worm, is extremely healthy. By watching this happy girl, you wouldn't know anything was wrong at all. 12/03/2008 At today's vet visit, Snuggles weighed in at a svelte 119 lbs. She is off exercise restriction and is well on her way to being heart worm free!
Snuggles needs a quiet home with possible older children. She would make someone a fantastic companion. She is fine with cats and other dogs but can be a dominant girl.

Special Needs:UPDATE: 12/03/2008 SNUGGLES IS HEART WORM NEGATIVE. SHE HAS BEATEN THE ODDS AND THE NASTY WORMS!
She will need to be on Heart Guard for the rest of her life. She also takes a thyroid medication along with a diuretic.
Effective today, 12/03/08, she is off her diuretic. Today's x-ray showed a perfect heart!
